Lyn Clark is a colleague of mine in my day job. She does fantastic things for charity that make me feel very privileged to have had the chance to know her. Over the years she’s raised over £30,000 for St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie.
One of the ways Lyn raises money is through her Ladies’ Lunch. At her Ladies’ Lunch Lyn would give a talk about why she started fundraising for the Hospice.
Everything Lyn wanted to cover in her talk was in a ring binder that she’d compiled over a few years. Reading through it brought a tear to my eye.
I set up a WordPress website for Lyn so that more people could read about her fantastic achievements, such as walking the Great Wall of China, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and trekking to the lost village of Machu Picchu. Everything in Lyn’s ring binder went on the website, including a letter from her granddaughter, Rebecca (10)!
The site includes links to Lyn’s JustGiving page so that those who are moved by her stories can show their support by donating quickly and easily.
